Homeowners Insurance Discount
The system in your home is monitored 24 hours a day by a monitoring station which will dispatch the proper authorities in the event that an emergency signal is received. This system has been designed to give you years of protection as well as to qualify you for a discount on your homeowners insurance premium. When completed, you should have received a certificate that contains all of the information required by your insurance carrier for discount eligibility. Service Program
WHAT DOES THE SERVICE PROGRAM COVER?
For the first 90 days of the contract, all labor is covered when your security system needs service under normal operating conditions, pending there is no unordinary wear and tear. All repairs shall be performed as soon as reasonably possible after receipt of notice from you. Service is performed during our normal business hours, currently 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS?
Icon may use new or reconditioned used parts at the time of replacement and retain any parts removed from the system. Icon will not pay for labor for non-covered replacements or repairs, including replacement of batteries in sensing devices, alarm screens, and those necessary to repair the system as a result of damage caused by remodeling, renovation, accident, or abuse, misuse, acts of God, vandalism, cosmetic damage, attempted unauthorized repairs, faulty electrical or telephone connections, or causes other than normal wear and tear. Charges for non-covered repairs will be based upon IconŐs existing labor and material rates. After the initial ninety-day service period, a minimum of twenty-five ($25.00) dollar service trip fee will be assessed on service visits.
What if I am moving?
Should you move to a new home, an authorized dealer will provide you with a NEW standard security system for your new home! Icon offers the following options:
- For customers that have had their system longer than 1 year, Icon will install a new 5 point system in your new home. Once we have received your request to install your new system, Icon will send you a new monitoring agreement for the same length and monitoring rates as your original agreement for you to sign and return. Once Icon receives back the new agreement we will be able to schedule a technician to come out and install your new system for only $99.00.
- For customers that have had their system for less than 1 year, Icon will also install a new 5 point system in your new home for only $199.00 upon signing a new monitoring agreement for the same length and price as your original agreement.
- You can also have the new homeowner(s) take over your contract. They will need to first qualify for the system and then sign a new agreement five (5) year agreement for monitoring service. Once they sign and return the agreement you will be released from your obligation for your agreement.
- Pay the remaining balance of your contract in full.
